Apprentices attend classes two nights a week to learn electrical theory, code, and hands-on skills regularly applied in the field. After completing the program and submitting proper documentation to L&I, apprentices can sit for the Washington state electrical exam. Journey-level electricians can also continue their education online with company sponsored training.
The Performance Electrical Apprenticeship Committee (PEAC) program was established in 2021 (Program ID# 2224) in Washington state to train new Boone Electric hires. The four-year program consists of classroom education and paid on-the-job training for 01 Electrician apprentices.
